Network Rail plans to upgrade the railway between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton at weekends in September and October.
Track renewal work will be happening on the lines between Parson Street and Nailsea and Backwell; and bridge maintenance work will be taking place at Worle, Weston-super-Mare and Highbridge and Burnham. This means that buses/coaches will replace GWR trains between Bristol Temple Meads, Weston-super-Mare and Taunton on the:
• weekend of 28/29 September
• Sunday 6 October
• Sunday 13 October.
CrossCountry trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton will be diverted via an alternative route, adding up to an hour to the normal journey time.
Electrification work to Cardiff will affect train services on various weekends until Sunday 20 October.Leave a comment
