Our High Street and town centre is facing a crisis with empty shops and businesses closing.
Meanwhile, Conservative-run North Somerset Council is spending millions on vanity projects.
£71 million borrowed and spent buying the Sovereign Centre and Sainsbury’s site in Worle. £4.5 million on road changes in Alexandra Parade and South Parade, and almost £3 million on the Italian Gardens.
Even the flagship Dolphin Square development has empty units, years after it was first planned.
They are spending millions on roads and white elephants, but the heart of Weston is full of empty shops and crying out for help.
We are demanding better for Weston.
