Councillor Mike Bell report: “I’m delighted to have worked with colleagues across the parties on North Somerset to table a motion for the next council meeting on declaring a #climateemergency Climate change is fact and it’s happening now. We need to take positive action now, to protect the future of our planet and all the creatures that live upon it. It will be debated on 19th February.

“To keep global warming below 1.5°C we must operate within a global carbon budget. Everyone must contribute. North Somerset Council must show leadership by declaring a climate emergency and committing to be carbon neutral by 2030.”
