Are you a patient at Clarence Park or Graham Road GP surgeries? Then an important opportunity to have your say on their future is coming up.
Health planners and local doctors who provide services from Clarence Park and Graham Road GP surgeries have been talking about how to change and improve service provision for patients and their families, service users and carers into the future.
Councillor Mike Bell reports: “Initially, the company that manages the two surgeries, wasn’t clear about how to take forward proposals for potential changes, which led to some confusion and different stories about the future of the surgeries emerging.
“Following an open public meeting on the 23 November 2018, which was well attended, NHS leaders agreed to my suggestion that they should restart the work about proposals for change with patients and public in an engagement and consultation process.”
Patient and public consultation events are planned to discuss possible options. The dates are:
Tuesday 5th February, 12.30 -14.30 and 18.30 – 20.30 at Clarence Park Baptist Church Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1ED
Tuesday 19th March, 12.30 -14.30 and 18.30 – 20.30 at Clarence Park Baptist Church, Walliscote Road, Weston-Super-Mare BS23 1ED

Mike added: “My view is clear that both surgeries should remain open, though there may well be opportunities to manage lists and staff better to maximise access and quality for patients.”
I have nothing but praise for Graham Road surgery who work under very demanding and difficult situations. I find them all very caring and responsive . They receive quite an uncalled for bad press. most of it unjustified.
