Councillor Mike Bell reports: “I’m pleased to see that the Sunnyside Road entrance to Weston railway station has reopened fully again at long last. I’ve campaigned to get this reopened since it closed back in 2016 as it does make access to platform 1 easier for those with mobility problems. We still need a lift and improved pedestrian bridge, but it’s a step in the right direction.”
The new entrance has been opened alongside the introduction of ticket barriers at both entrances to Weston Station. The Sunnyside Road entrance has been much improved with good access, ticket barriers and a ticket machine.
