Journeymen Theatre Company are bringing a production of ‘The Bundle’ to Weston-super-Mare Friends Meeting House, High Street on Sunday 16 September at 2pm.
The performance tells the story of a refugee, Adilah, as she flees to the UK and encounters the Home Office’s ‘hostile environment’. The play moves from the tradition of the folk story to that of biting satire as it charts Adilah’s bid for freedom, safety and hope.
The production will be followed by refreshments and a discussion about the issues with the audience. There is no charge for performance but donations for organisations working closely with asylum seekers and refugees in the UK will be welcomed.Leave a comment
