For local residents, the charges are especially unfair, as we already pay for these facilities to be provided through our council tax.

So we’ve launched a campaign for the introduction of a “Weston Fun Pass” for residents that would give discounted or free entry to local attractions and facilities.

It’s wrong that local families have to pay full price to use seafront attractions like the water park or Tropicana when, unlike tourists, we pay for them through our council tax. A Weston Fun Pass should be introduced to give discounted or free entry to attractions for residents of Weston-super-Mare. It could even grow over time beyond council-owned facilities to incorporate commercial attractions too. If you agree, please sign our petition.
