Nineteen local drug dealers have been jailed for a combined total of 53 years and four months.

It follows a nine-month long police investigation into the supply of Class A drugs. All those sentenced were filmed selling drugs such as heroin and cocaine.

Councillor Mike Bell commented: “We are continuing to press the police to tackle drug dealing and all the associated crime and antisocial behaviour that comes with it in Weston.

“People shouldn’t have to live in places where dealers freely sell their drugs on the streets. Call 999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger, or if the crime is in progress; otherwise please call the police on 101 to report suspicious activity.”
