The never ending Whitecross potholes …

by mikebell on 27 March, 2019

“The never ending battle against potholes … Whitecross Road (Ellenborough Park end) still very poor. It’s been months since the council promised action on this. I’ll have to get nagging again!” comments Councillor Mike Bell.

Hi,yes the potholes are still a problem. When the new Parking measures come in it might be feasible to put some loading only bays around Ellenborough Park,as delivery men struggle to find anywhere. Also, this regards your colleague Robert Payne and the Town Council, several times they have promised to put up No Camping signs in Ellenborough Park.[first request about 2 yrs ago!] This hasn’t happened. They have signs in Clarence Park.I feel the Town Council does as little as possible. Tara Payne

I remember when I still drove, how dangerous hitting a pothole in the road could be and, if the damage was bad enough, how expensive, so I’m all for repairing them. However the potholes in the pavements, especially in particular places along Severn Road, are dreadful and yet less thought seems to be given to these and the difficulties pedestrians have with them, especially visually impaired folk, pensioners, wheelchair users and young mums trying to get toddlers safely to where they’re going.
