Councillor Mike Bell reports: “I had a meeting with John Penrose MP, Healthwatch North Somerset, the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and Graham Road/Clarence Park GP surgery patients last week to discuss health priorities in the town centre.

“Our campaigning with residents over several years has helped to secure a £3million investment in town centre primary care, but NHS managers need to get on with making right decisions on how to spend it.

“There should be more news and public/patient engagement in May, after the local elections. I am continuing to argue that there should be NO changes at Clarence Park or Graham Road GP surgeries eg closure or merger, until the long term plan for the town centre is more clear.”
