NHS meeting approves consultation on A&E proposals

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group met this week to confirm proposals that will see the overnight closure of Weston Hospital made permanent.

I just cannot believe that weston hospitol A and E is to close.Weston is a town with a large population incl many older people. Having to go to Bristol or taunton in an emergancy is not acceptable and could be case of life or death I just can’t believe they are even thinking of this .I had the occasion to use the hospitol last year and found it to offer not only convenience but professional caring hard working staff and the facilities good and spotless clean this is a HUGE blow to weston and indeed surrounding areas .I do hope we can fight against this if not I may have go consider moving I feel that strongly about this
