The popular ‘Made in North Somerset’ event returns at a new venue next Sunday (14 October).
The seventh ‘Made in North Somerset’ annual market will take place in the beautiful grounds of Court House Farm at the end of Portishead High Street from 10am-4pm.
The event acts as a showcase for some of the very best food, drink, art and craft from North Somerset, so it really is what it says on the tin – ‘Made in North Somerset’.
Co-ordinated by North Somerset Council’s Economic Development Service, the event took a break last year but is now back with even more producers.
Over 60 food, drink, art and creative stallholders will fill the courtyards. There will be a number of new exhibitors as the event continues to provide an opportunity for new start-up businesses.
Products on offer will include ceramics, glass, handmade prints, furniture, textiles, jewellery, wine, real ale, cider, cheese, charcuterie, savouries and a delicious range of hot and cold food.
Food stands will be offering stone-baked pizzas, smoked bbq meats and veg, organic beef and halloumi burgers, scotch eggs, quiches, cheese, charcuterie, bread and pastries.
The day will include music from the Barnacle Buoys, storytelling by Michael Loader and samples of Theatre Orchard’s new pub play ‘Horses! Horses!’.
Entry to the event is £1 for adults with children free.
‘Made in North Somerset’ programmes are available from libraries, cafes and pubs across North Somerset or can be downloaded from www.innorthsomerset.co.uk/get-involved/MadeinNS. A listing is also featured in September’s edition of North Somerset Life magazine which is available online at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/nslife.
