Share a story on World Book Day

by mikebell on 26 February, 2018

Families and young readers are being invited to enjoy the pleasures of reading and share a story as libraries in North Somerset gear up to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 1 March.

Children from local schools and pre-schools will be welcomed into libraries across North Somerset to enjoy stories in the library.

Free Bookstart Rhymetimes and story times, suitable for children aged up to four years old, will also be taking place across the district on the day.

Rhymetimes will take place at Winscombe Library (9.15am), Weston Library (9.30am) and Long Ashton Library (9.30am). Story times will take place at Nailsea Library and the For All Healthy Living Centre Library (2pm), Portishead Library (2.15pm) and Yatton Library (2.30pm). Further early years events will take place on Friday 2 March at Clevedon, Nailsea, Pill and Portishead libraries.

Children, who must be accompanied by a parent or carer, are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character to any of these events (optional).
