A number of walks will be held in North Somerset at the beginning of January as part of The Ramblers Winter Walking Festival.

Four walks will take place in Weston-super-Mare, Portishead, Nailsea and Clevedon.

The walks are aimed primarily at those who do not take part in regular exercise and are new to walking as a form of exercise.

All walks will start at 10.30am and will be led by experienced and friendly walking leaders. Refreshments will be provided.

The walks will take place at the following locations:

• The Campus, Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday 3 January

• Somerset Hall, Portishead on Thursday 4 January

• Tithe Barn, Nailsea on Friday 5 January

• Christchurch Hall, Clevedon on Saturday 6 January (walk will start at Princes Hall).
