New service launching to help North Somerset residents access support

Councillor Mike Bell writes: “I want to say a big thank you to the more than 5,000 people who backed me in Weston, Worle and the villages to be our MP in the General Election.
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be this time. However the support and friendship people gave me, whether through their ballots or in many other ways as a volunteer or donor to the campaign, was hugely appreciated.
“I’ve been really touched by the kind messages that people have sent, which has helped to remind me that politics is not always personal and that national trends played a big part in the result.
“In 2015, people in Weston-super-Mare Central Ward kindly re-elected me to be their local councillor. I shall continue to work hard to represent them and use the role as an opportunity to continue to work for local people all year round, fighting for the services our area needs.
